Fiber Optics Kit to Extend Video Range

Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. (FIS) has announced an affordable Fiber Optic Transmitter and Receiver Kit that significantly extends the range of coax CCTV video systems.

The kit's transmitter converts a video camera's electronic signal into an optical signal. This enables the video to be transmitted up to 8 kilometers over fiber optic cable without additional amplification. The kit's receiver then converts the optical signal back to an electronic signal.
