FIS Expands Custom Fiber Optic Manufacturing

Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. (FIS) has announced the expansion of its custom manufacturing facilities. According to FIS President Frank Giotto, "Custom work has been in high demand, so we've added staff, invested in additional equipment, and expanded the range of products that we can manufacture to our customers' specifications."

New! Custom Coupler Modules

The most recent addition to the FIS custom product line are fiber optic coupler modules. "Customers can now order coupler modules to their exact specifications, and they can be sized perfectly to fit their rack chassis," Mr. Giotto said. "We can also terminate couplers
with connectors of their choice, and we can cascade couplers to accommodate 1X6, 1X8 and 1X16 etc. tree couplers."

Other Custom Products Available

Mr. Giotto said that FIS can also custom-manufacture Adapter Panels, Preloaded Racks, Pigtails, Splice Trays, Patch Cords, Mode Conditioning Cords, Cable Assemblies, Inserts, Pulse Boxes, In-line Attenuators, Mating Sleeves and more. He said that FIS can also provide custom-made Fiber Optic Cables, offering the customer a choice of jacket color, cladding diameter, and fiber count.
