Renowned Fiber Optics Instructor Offers Atlanta Training
|
April 23, 2004
A leading fiber optics company is sending their nationally-renowned instructor, John Bruno, to conduct fiber optic training in Atlanta on May 3 & 4.
Mr. Bruno is the principal trainer for Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. (FIS), a major distributor and manufacturer of fiber optics and security equipment. According to Mr. Bruno, "Today, fiber optics is used extensively in telecommunications, computer networks, control systems and other applications. The two-day training session is an opportunity to gain an understanding the technology, as well as hand-on experience."
Who Should Attend?
The Atlanta training sessions are open to telecommunications installers, computer network technicians, educators - anyone who has a need or desire to learn about fiber optics. "Local businesses, public utilities, highway departments, and trade unions often send people to our training. We keep our course fees low so even small businesses can enroll employees."
Fulfilling a Need
"Fiber Optics is a specialized field and local colleges usually don't offer much hands-on instruction," Mr. Bruno said. Our two-day Fiber Optics I & II course fills that void. Students will assemble fiber optic connectors, use test equipment, and so forth. The training will also touch upon exciting new opportunities for fiber optic installers, such as the Fiber Fence Perimeter Monitoring System.
Mr. Bruno has provided fiber optics training to major corporations including Boeing, Adelphia, Lucent, and Qwest. He has coauthored training manuals, written technical papers and currently writes a monthly column, Ask Bruno, that appears in the leading fiber optics trade magazine, Lightwave.
Besides his technical expertise, Mr. Bruno is known for his keen wit and sense of humor that makes his courses as entertaining as they are informative.
In addition to the Atlanta training, classes are held at the company's lakeside retreat in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. Companies can also arrange for group training at their own facilities. To register for training, or for more information, call FIS at 800-500-0347. |
