Basic and Advanced Security Topics
FIS Security Training covers both fiber optic and "copper wire" security devices, such as cameras and sensors, as well as advanced security solutions developed by FIS.
For example, the FIS StrikeZone system enables any facility to integrate all of its security devices, including fire/smoke detectors, intrusion sensors, security cameras and so forth. The system provides centralized monitoring of each of these devices by displaying them on a computer display overlaid on a map of the facility.
Also covered in the training is FIS' patented Fiber Fence Perimeter Monitoring System, which can monitor up to 16 km (10 miles) of fence line without requiring power anywhere along the perimeter.
Other innovative security solutions include the FIS Cover Cop Utility Cover / Manhole Monitoring System, and advanced Fiber Optic Security Cameras manufactured by FIS.
FIS Security Training is valuable to fiber optic technicians, as well as security professionals who would like to learn more about the advantages of fiber optic technology for security applications. Students can become certified FIS installers.
