Copper Cabling - FIS can supply Cat3, Cat5e, Cat6 and high pair count Copper Datacom cabling for your premise Network application. You can choose from Riser (PVC) or Plenum, UTP (unshielded twisted pair) or STP (Shielded twisted pair). It comes in a variety of colors and several packaging options - (Reel-in-a-Box or Pull Box) of 1000 ft lengths. All our cabling meets or exceeds TIA/EIA-568-B. Cat5e supports 10BASE-T to 1000BASE-T Ethernet, ATM and Token Ring applications and Cat6 exceeds the requirement for Gigabit Ethernet.
Patch Cords - Copper Patch Cord assemblies are often overlooked when it comes to the performance of your Network. Your system is only as good as the weakest link, and Patch Cords may be just that. At FIS we offer high quality unshielded and shielded Patch Cords of various lengths and colors with protective snagless strain relief boots to prevent damage to the plug latch. They meet or exceed Cat5e performance standards, are Non-Plenum rated with pre-terminated 8 position RJ-45 plugs and follow universal wiring (T568A/T568B).
Connectors, Jacks and Inserts - FIS has a very large selection of connectors, jacks and inserts to fit wall plates, multimedia outlets, surface mount housings, modular furniture, patch panels and mounting plates. It includes BNC, Coax, Blanks, Fiber inserts and a variety of colors to accommodate your specific job. FIS carries Keystone jacks, which are compatible with any product that accepts the standard Keystone profile.
Workstation Faceplates and Outlets - When choosing a faceplate or outlet it's important to select one that meets the requirements for your application. There are many options like single gang or double gang. How many ports are required? Will a labeling window be required? Will it require a standard wall plate/ faceplate or will a surface mount or furniture outlet be needed? FIS can help meet your specific needs.
Patch Panels - FIS features a comprehensive line of high performance, fully loaded, discrete jack and 25 pair Patch Panels for Cat5e and cat6 twisted pair applications. You can choose standard or high density if space is limited or angled to allow for easy access to patch cords. Port sizes range from 12 port up to 48 ports with some panels that include cable management to dress cabling. Shielded Patch Panels are also available.
Copper Cabling Tools and Testers - To help install and test your Datacom Network more efficiently FIS has the essential tools and testers to get the job done. The tools have been carefully designed to strip, crimp or punch down the cabling that's been run. For wiring verification FIS carries state of the art cable testers to avoid costly installation mistakes.

Test equipment that can verify continuity, wiring errors and faults as well as performance may be required. Ethernet Active Devices - Media Converters provide intelligent solutions for long distance connections between copper networks and fiber based installations. Extended distance single mode as well as Gigabit versions are also available. Use the same converters for either wall or chassis mount. Floor and Wall Racks - Floor mount racks accommodate standard cable ladders and are constructed of heavy gauge steel to provide strength and durability. Hinged racks offer cost effective wall mounting with hinged access to the rear of mounted components. A non-swinging fixed design provides a solution for copper and fiber networking protection. All are available in black and other finishes.
