Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. Career Opportunites


Machine Shop / Mold Maintenance Generalist
Must perform light machining duties in machine shop. This includes running CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, manual milling machines, manual lathes, drill presses, grinders, other miscellaneous hand tools. Measuring and print reading is required. Disassembly/re-assembly of injection molding molds. Cleaning of injection molding molds. Must be willing to work moderate overtime as necessary.

High School diploma or GED minimum. Mechanical technical classes a plus. Must be able to read, write, and perform general math skills. Will train on specific items as required.

Machine shop/tool room experience a plus. Manufacturing experience a plus.



Electronic Technician
• Printed Circuti Board (PCB) Experience
• Ability to solder both Thru-hole and surface mount parts
• Circuit troubleshooting ability
• Experience programming Micocontroller... not required but a definite plus



General Office Cleaner
Duties include daily/weekly office cleaning; empty trash, clean bathrooms (sinks, toilets, mirrors, sweep & mop floors), break room/cafeteria (wipe off tables, counters, sink and microwaves, sweep & mop floor) vacuum and dust. Also clean glass doors/windows, elevator, wipe down wood base boards/sills. Additional cleaning may be required.

Production Assistant
Specific duties include assisting manufacturing supervisor with shop loading, monitoring program schedules, assisting project managers and shop supervisors with work kit prep, handling day to day admin tasks, liaison between production control, manufacturing and sales personnel; will report to production supervisor. Ability to work with a team, prioritize, oversee production work to completion, demonstrate excellent coordination skills and be able to speak/communicate well with all levels of personnel. Must be proficient in Microsoft based programs.

High school diploma required. Production management experience preferred, but will train.



Manufacturing Assembler
Light assembly in manufacturing facility needed; no experience necessary, will train.

High School diploma or GED required.

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm



Assembler
Duties consist of basic assembly involving small detail work. Good eye and hand coordination and a steady hand are a must. Must have the ability to read a technical order. Must be able to stand and sit for long periods, lift 25-40 lbs and apply arm pressure equivalent to 10lbs for crimping.

High School diploma or the equivalent required. Some manufacturing experience (small work) a plus. A reference check and pre-employment test are required.

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Extrusion Line Operator
Operate the extruder machine at the recommended settings noted in the method master. Inspect each finished reel as it come off the line to ensure it meets the standards set forth by engineering. Test each spool for appropriate attenuation. Ensure that all spools that come off of the line are registered in Axapta or placed in the FGIA. Follow all safety practices and be aware of any unsafe acts that may occur. Clean work area daily during assigned times designated by the shift manager and when needed after machine cleanouts. Assist in respooling and testing of product as instructed by shift manager. Periodically check supplies needed to run machine and restock supplies needed to continue the operation of the line. Attend all training programs and assist in the training of new employees as instructed by shift manager.

Requirements: High School diploma or the equivalent and Machine or Mechanical experience is required.

Full-time, 2nd & 3rd shift.



Shipping Clerk
Responsible for daily shipment of scheduled and non-scheduled shipments of goods to our customers.

Job duties:
• Read & process pick tickets
• Operate Wav, Reach truck, forklifts when necessary
• Operate cutting equipment
• Process pick list trough our company software
• Process shipment through the appropriate shipping carrier software
• Quality check on all out going shipments

Also:
• Ability to lift up 50 pounds and stand for prolong periods of time
• Use paper and computer-based documentation
• Ability to perate shipping machinery Perform other related duties and assignment as required
• Work safely and now the TLC safety standards



Assistant Caretaker: Brightside On Raquette Lake
Looking for someone that loves the Adirondacks; will stay on an island on Raquette Lake (only accessible by boat) 3-4 days at a time, from the end of June thru beginning of November, to handle prescheduled Summer/Fall training events.

• Must have cooking, cleaning, laundry skills and be organized.
• Be able to prepare daily menus & meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner for approximately 20-25
• Set-up and break down bedding for a 20+ bed facility

Salary depends on experience and includes room and board.

CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer
Need to work in a team environment w/abilities to program and operate Haas, Hyundai, Okuma & Howa, Mori Seike and EuroTech Lathes at the machine control. MasterCam experience a plus. Must have conceptual, functional and technical skills, process improvement, excellent verbal communication, knows controls and instrumentation, as well as tooling. Operate and program CNC lathes with and/or without bar feeders; CNC Horizontals and Vertical machining centers a plus.

High School diploma or GED minimum.

7am-3:00pm, Full-time Monday-Friday.


Machine Operator
Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd shift - looking for 8-10 people - High school diploma/GED - Responsibilities: machine parts, inspect machined part for quality control, keep work area clean/orderly, monitor fluid levels in machines & associated equipment, clean machines, comply w/OSHA safety stds and perform other duties as assigned or required.

High School diploma or GED minimum.

7am-3:30pm, Full-time Monday-Friday.
3:30pm-12am, Full-time Monday-Friday.


Quality Control Technician
• Audit machines parts using inspection gage equipment to meet customer specs. • Verify documentation completed by machine operators for accuracy and proper completion. • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

High School diploma or GED minimum. +3 years experience in a precision machine shop, reading blueprints and using metrology equipment. Add'l experience in SPC and/or CMM operation in an automotive environment is preferred.

7am-3:00pm, Full-time Monday-Friday.

Mold Maker; Journeyman Tool Maker
Machinist w/experience in injection mold design and build, must be able to build components from prints as well as repairs from part samples; must have own tools. Preferred Journeyman with papers.

Machine Operator
Candidate will be responsible for operating an injections molding press, will be first eye in quality therefore producing good acceptable parts, will also be responsible for providing accurate counts. Must be able to stand for long period of time, lift at least 50 pounds and ble to work weekends and over as required.

Full-time. 2nd and 3rd shift.


Mold Technician
Mold Technician must be able to install/remove molds, must be able to troubleshoot,and fix any issues, must be able to process. Candidate must have own tools, and also be clean and organized.

Must have at least 5 years experience.
