Question: Can you tell me the difference or true meanining of a composite cable and a hybrid cable. I've heard both terms used interchangeably. Are thay the same? If so then how would you differenciate between a single-mode/multimode cable vs. fiber cable/copper cable? thanks
Answer: The correct terminology to use in these cases area as follows: Hybrid cables are a combination of singlemode and multimode fibers in one cable. Composite cables are a combination of fiber and copper.
