The CMA 5000 is a multi-layer OTDR, or Optical Time Domain Reflectometer, test platform that can reduce the time it takes you to install, commission, and maintain fiber optic spans.
This fiber optic OTDR application supports a multitude of single mode and multimode wavelengths, up to 50 dB of dynamic range, and deadzones as small as 1 meter. This fiber optic OTDR application provides you with an ideal solution for testing long-haul fiber optic backbone networks, metropolitan optical networks (MONs), and FTTP deployments that incorporate passive optical networks (PONs).
The CMA5000 reduces your cost of fiber optic OTDR measurement through ultra-fast data acquisition. Up to 80% of the dynamic range is achieved in under 30 seconds, saving you valuable time and expense when compared to other fiber optic OTDRs that may require three minutes to complete their tests. Real time updates of 1/10 second provide you with quick information for easier fiber optic connector and splice optimization. Dedicated fiber optic test modes simplify and automate tests for any fiber optic application you may have, from fiber reel validation measurements to long-haul, metro, or PON fiber optic applications.
This test equipment complements the other fiber optic test equipment available from FIS including Power Meters, Light Sources, ORL Test Sets, Visual Fault Locators and Continuity Testers.
