Wilcom Pocket Visual Fault Locator

The Wilcom Fiber Optic Pocket Visual Fault Locator, VFL, is a pencil-style testing device that enables you to locate points of optical loss within your fiber optic link.  By injecting visible red light into the fiber optic cable, you can locate areas of optical loss that are due to excessive bends or breaks in the optical fiber. You can see these faults represented as a glow or point of light emitted from the fiber optic cable at the exact location of the optical loss.

You can also use this fiber optic visual fault locator to identify optical fibers in multi-fiber cables. The light from this compact yet powerful VFL can be seen up to 5 km.

This Fiber Optic Visual Fault Locator can be used for both singlemode and multimode applications and features a universal fiber optic adapter that accepts any fiber optic connector having a 2.5mm ferrule.
