The Fiber Optic 90 Degree Wedge Diamond Scribe provides you with a wider cutting surface. This Fiber Optic Diamond Scribe is packaged in a rugged white plastic housing.
Scribing Tips: Once the epoxy is cured or hardened, the protruding fiber should be scribed as close to the ferrule tip as possible. Use your fiber optic scribe tool to make a light scratch on the fiber. Take care not to break the fiber off when scribing as this may result in a crack in the core of the fiber optic endface. After the fiber is scribed, use your fingers to gently pull the fiber upward to break it away from the fiber optic connector ferrule.
