Frank Giotto founded Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. in 1985. Under his vision and leadership, FIS has become one of the leading distributors of fiber optic connectivity equipment in the nation. In 2002, Mr. Giotto founded FIS Security, a new division created to meet today's need for innovative security solutions.

Mr. Giotto is a great proponent of education and he is an adjunct professor at Mohawk Valley Community College. He has also authored the FIS Laboratory Manual, a popular addition to the fiber optic curriculum taught at many colleges, universities and technical schools.

He is a Member of the Board of Utica College and the Utica Symphony, and a member of various professional organizations. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he received a degree in Mathematics.
In March, 2005, Mr. Giotto was featured in Inc. magazine, a leading international business publication. Their article entitled, "They Just Can't Stop Themselves," focused on entrepreneurs who are driven to create one successful company after another. The article pointed out that Mr. Giotto founded a number of successful companies, including two fiber optics firms, Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. (FIS) and The Light Connection (TLC). He also founded Force Guided Relays (FGR), a company that manufactures industrial safety devices.
