Jim Inman
Technical Support
Jim began his career at FIS in 1998 as a Quality Control Technician. His job required that he learn all of the things that can go wrong with fiber optic components and systems, as well as their associated causes. This unique learning experience provided Jim with a solid understanding of fiber optic technology.
Soon thereafter, Jim was appointed Supervisor of the 3M certified VAR, a high-end patchcord production team at FIS. In this position, Jim learned the art of high-end fiber optic polishing and related performance and testing parameters.
Currently, Jim is actively involved in the research and development facility at FIS. He has assisted in the development of such products as the FIS Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier, Handheld Microscope and Portable Video Microscope.
In their free time, Jim and his wife, Kim Inman, an FIS Sales Associate, enjoy remodeling their 18th century home. Jim also enjoys working in his home recording studio, which has full optical connectivity. The Inman's have three children.
