Laura Gribneau
Vice President, International Sales

Laura is a Long Island, NY native, and has lived in Georgia, Hawaii and California before settling in Central New York. Since joining FIS in 1994, Laura has taken several technical classes to improve her knowledge of fiber optics, and has held a variety of positions within FIS prior to being appointed International Sales Manager. Laura, whose fathers’ work involves laser technology, finds it natural to be in the optics industry, having been exposed to photonics most of her life. It is not uncommon to find Laura reading the latest fiber optic textbooks, or investigating the latest technological breakthroughs in the industry. Laura’s natural aptitude for fiber optic technology, her commitment to customer service and her positive attitude were just some of the reasons for being promoted to her current position in 1999. Laura is the proud recipient of several FIS Creativity Challenge Awards, and also holds a coveted “Pride of Workmanship” award presented by the local Rotary International chapter in 1997. Many of Laura’s customers will be able to see her each year at the Optical Fiber Communication conference and expo. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, gardening and as an avid snowmobiler, takes advantage of snowy upstate New York winters!
