Cost Accountant

Description: The Cost Accountant/Cost Analyst will be responsible for:

• Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
• Analyzing data collected and recording results.
• Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Maintaining Cost Accounting System.
• Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger.

Career Opportunities at The Light Connection, Inc.

Extrusion Line Operator

Description: Operate the extruder machine at the recommended settings noted in the method master. Inspect each finished reel as it come off the line to ensure it meets the standards set forth by engineering. Test each spool for appropriate attenuation. Ensure that all spools that come off of the line are registered in Axapta or placed in the FGIA. Follow all safety practices and be aware of any unsafe acts that may occur. Clean work area daily during assigned times designated by the shift manager and when needed after machine cleanouts. Assist in respooling and testing of product as instructed by shift manager. Periodically check supplies needed to run machine and restock supplies needed to continue the operation of the line. Attend all training programs and assist in the training of new employees as instructed by shift manager.
Requirement: High School diploma or GED required and Machine or Mechanical experience is required.
Position: Full-time, 2nd & 3rd shift.

Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor

Description: This position will ensure the company facility and assets are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations.
Job responsibilities include:
• Responsible for Maintenance and repair of all facility and equipment.
• Provide leadership, direction and work assignments to Maintenance Technician(s).
• Receive/Assign/Respond to all Maintenance requests.
• Provide off shift support (on call 24hr) for all manufacturing shifts requiring maintenance.
• Carry out daily inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain and order safety stock inventory of all required parts; HVAC filters, belts, relays, etc.
• Source quotes for any repairs unable to be done in-house.
• Support contractors when onsite doing repairs.
• Coordinate any outsourced maintenance work.
• Research via internet and source parts needed for equipment repair(s).
• Process internal Requisition Form(s) for all materials/parts; fill out, get approved from DOE and follow-up with order process.
• Provide list of repairs needed both inside & outside facility to support Maintenance Project List.
• As needed, make runs to local suppliers to pick up materials needed for Maintenance.
• Accountability for company tools & maintenance shop.
• Schedule PM's and equipment repairs with appropriate department manager(s).
• Also includes, but not limited to custodial, building structure and infrastructure, grounds, manufacturing equipment, material handling equipment, company vehicles, etc.
• Collaborate with Director of Engineering for all personnel issues.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirement: Must have minimum 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Must have minimum 5 years supervisory experience.

Position: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm / 1st Shift.

Production Scheduler

Description: This position will report directly to the Logistics Manager. They will be responsible to develop plans to facilitate on-time delivery to the customer. The position requires the ability and experience to coordinate Sales Orders,machine capacity and the production plan in order to meet company requirements within the procedures established, as an ISO 9001 company. Maintenance Manager

Description: Employee will supervise all daily maintenance operations at Fermer Precision, Inc. He or she will be responsible for all preventive, reactive and facilities maintenance. This position will be exempt on the first shift, for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Employee will be expected to work overtime, as required and as necessary. Employee will be expected, occasionally, to work non-standard hours to insure tasks are completed with minimal impact to the operations production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the daily direction and job assignments of all maintenance employees.
• Responsible for scheduling and tracking all equipment preventative maintenance efforts.
• Responsible for accurate inventory management of equipment spare parts.
• Responsible for insuring all maintenance employees follow company policies and regulations.
• Insure all necessary tooling is available and operating, as necessary.
• Required to communicate and provide reporting on group efficiency and other specified metrics, with respect to machine up time.
• Responsible for continuous improvement programs positively impacting machine uptime, cost and efficiency.

Qualifications::
• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years experience maintaining CNC and industrial equipment
• Facilities maintenance experience
• PC Experience is required (Microsoft Office)
• Understanding of CNC programming a plus
• Understanding PLC Programming
• OSHA safety training
• Must be organized, have a STRONG work ethic, quality oriented, show strong leadership capabilities and knows how to follow directions.
