Cleaning Kits

The FIS Fiber Optic Cleaning Station is a unique new product that provides immediate access to cleaning supplies for technicians.  These cleaning kits are wall mountable similar to First Aid kits found throughout many facilities.  Open the top cover and find cleaning notes for technicians not familiar with fiber optics.  Kits include cleaning instruments for both 2.5mm and 1.25mm ferrules on patch cables and through adapters in the back plane of enclosures.  Optional MPO/MTP cleaning tool can be added to kit as well.  Special edition and custom kits are available.   Standard kit contents: (100) 4”x4” Clean Dry Wipes, 2 oz. Cleaning Solution, Auto-Advance Connector Cleaner, 2.5mm and 1.25mm back plane ferrule cleaning tools.  Optional kits with MPO/MTP cleaning tool or choice of IBC™ Cleaners/AFL One Click Cleaners.

Fiber optic cleaning kits contain all the cleaning supplies you need for fast, reliable fiber optic cleaning. They help keep your installation up and running. They can be wall mounted or come in tough nylon carry cases.

New applications in the field with the implementation of high density radio heads for 5G deployment will require an increase in the use of hardened fiber optic connectors. Manufacturers of different radio heads have adopted certain hardened connector interfaces between their equipment and outdoor distribution enclosures. Technicians will find themselves confronted with new style connectors that may require deeper cleaning of the housing threads, inner body, O-rings and connector ferrule end face.The unique 5G Cleaning Kits are targeted to provide a wider selection of popular cleaning tools and solvents to address new crevices in hardened connectors that are soiled from outdoor environments.

• Cleaning swabs – (3) different style swabs for cleaning internal body components and threads.
• Dry Wipes- Woven Cleaning wipes that won’t tear while using for outer or inner body cleaning.
• Moistened Towelettes- Outer connector body and cable cleaning.
• (Optional) MPO Endface Cleaner – Auto Advancing cleaner for MTP or MPO end face cleaning.
