Fiber Optic Broadcast/Military Assemblies
Broadcast and Military Fiber Optic Assemblies are used in harsh environment applications. The fiber optic cable they are made with is constructed to be crush resistant as well as temperature insensitive. The cable jacketing is also constructed with materials that have little or no “memory” so when they are deployed they will lay flat on the ground instead of retaining the memory of being stored in a coil. The connectors are also very rugged and many are designed to be moisture and shock resistant. The Broadcast and Military Fiber Optic Assemblies are often housed on reels that allow them to be easily deployed and then retrieved so they can be moved from one site to another.
