FIBER FENCE Security System

The kit contains everything you need to monitor a 10 acre perimeter. You receive a Zone Control Unit, 53 Mini Mouse trips, 4 Corner Guards, 3,000ft Fiber Fence fiber, zip ties, and an Instruction Manual. We can help with your design and other fiber optic tools and products.

The heart of the Fiber Fence Security System is the Zone Control Unit. A powerful laser sends light to the fence and sensors. The Zone Control Unit utilizes 9v DC power and may be rack mounted in a remote location. The Zone Control Unit is available in the 23dB range 1310nm single mode fiber coupled laser version.

The "Cover Cop" is sealed and contains a powerful internal magnet and spring mechanism. It is mounted in the specified proximity to the selected target (i.e. door, manhole cover or gate). When the target is moved away from the sensor, attenuation is created thus triggering the Zone Control Unit. Each "Cover Cop" is rated for approximately 10,000 cycles.

The Mini Mouse Trip is a passive sensor designed to be mounted to the fence. It secures the fiber to the fence and will create attenuation triggering an alarm when the fiber or fence is disturbed. The sensor does not require a manual reset.

The Mouse Trip sensors are designed to be mounted to the fence and are tripped when the fence is disturbed. Triggered sensors must be reset.

The Zone Mapping Software allows the user to input a map and identify the perimeter with multiple zones. Each zone is protected by a Zone Control Unit. The software can also send text or e-mail messages for alarms and resets if the computer has internet access.

The 900µm specially jacketed fiber cable can be customized to include connectors, Loop-Back modules to return to the Control Unit, and cut to length upon request.
