Fiber Optic Rack Mount Enclosures

The 1RU FIS Rack Mount Enclosure accommodates (3) LGX adapter plates, modules or cassettes. Slide out trays and removable front and back doors allow easy access to the patch bay. Multiple cable retention brackets and tie down spots allow for convenient cable management. Spring loaded stop latches keep the tray securely in place when retracted. Rack mount installs into a standard 19” rack. Adapter plates, 23” mounting brackets and 19” flush mounting brackets are sold separately.

The FIS 1RU Slack Cable Management Enclosure provides a secure, dedicated space for fiber optic cable slack storage. The slide out tray and removable doors provide easy access when managing fiber. Comfortably route and store up to 25 meters of 3.0mm simplex fiber around the semi-circular slack management rings.

This 2RU Cool Airflow Enclosure has a Styrofoam pad affixed on top to dissipate the heat from active switches that may be located above enclosure. The 26”-31” telescopic enclosure moves cool air from cold aisle of a data center to opposite side of rack where switches that have air intakes for cooling may unfortunately be opposite the cold aisle. Based on mounting the 30 degree exhaust deflects the cool air above or below the enclosure into the air intake path of the active switches to aid in cooling. Four 3 inch high flow fans push the cold air through the enclosure out the rear exhaust duct to cool switches. AC/DC power supply included.

Economical support cantilever shelf designed for 19” two post free standing racks can reduce fatigue on mounting brackets when heavy, active equipment can only be fastened flush to the front of the rack. This support shelf has a fixed 2” (50mm) support cross bar at 18.5” to 21” and an additional adjustable support cross bar at 12”-17” for heavier shorter equipment. Shelf mounts to rear of rack rails and straddles opening width so enclosures and equipment can be mounted below active gear to maximize rack space. Made of strong, lightweight aluminum, powder coated color black, recommended to support equipment up to 40lbs.

The FIS Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) Cabinet enclosures come in 2, 4, & 6RU footprints. These flush mount, rack mountable enclosures are specifically geared for Traffic Signal, ITS (Intelligent Traffic Systems) roadside cabinets, or Computer Room enclosed type cabinets, where the 19” equipment mounting rail, is too close to the door for any protrusion.
Key features include the left side cable manager and rear exit, a fully removable lid and a fixed adapter plate and tray
which allows storage space for excess cable. These features make a perfect solution for installing a pre-terminated outside plant trunk cable. Enclosures are available in black upon request. It accommodates FIS extended adapter plates.*
