FIS POCKET FAULT LOCATORS
The FIS Fiber Optic Pocket Fault Locators are designed to be rugged, compact and lightweight. These units are 7.1" in length and weigh approximatly 4.5oz. With a 30-hour battery life in continuous mode and 40 hours in modulated mode, the bright 650nm (red) laser which has a range of up to 5Km ensures fast and easy location of fault points within fiber optic patchcords, patch panels and enclosures. They can also be used to identify fibers in multi-fiber cables, and it is designed for both singlemode and multimode fiber optic applications. These units are shipped with two "AA" batteries and a belt holster.

FIS MPO VISUAL FAULT LOCATOR WITH POLARITY VERIFIER


This rugged, weather and shock-resistant MPO VFL for Multimode or Singlemode cable assemblies is a great troubleshooting tool that is needed to establish or confirm polarity, continuity, and macro bends within an MPO optical system. If no breakout cassette is present, the polarity verifier unit (F1-OPV), when used on the far end of an MPO/MTP cable can provide the user a quick, safe, and easy determination of continuity and polarity of the fibers within the MPO cable assembly. This new one-of-a-kind product is a must for any pre-and post-installation technician!

FIS DUAL SOURCE VISUAL FAULT LOCATOR


The new FIS Mini MPO Visual Fault Locator is able to test all channels utilizing two sources with source "A" lighting up channels 1 thru 6 and source "B" lighting up channels 7 thru 12. As with most MPO networks, continuity and polarity verification can prove challenging and time consuming. Traditional methods involve expensive breakout cables and single fiber visual fault locators, checking only one channel at a time. The new Mini MPO Visual Fault Locator made by FIS, allows the user to quickly ensure the proper continuity of all channels of the MPO cable with visible light. Its handheld design, coupled with its straight forward easy to use keypad interface will determine if all channels are properly installed.

Fiber Instrument Sales introduces its Dual Source Visual Fault Locator specially made for duplex LC connectors. Because LC connectors are commonly clipped together this product eliminates the common mistake that is made of crossing Tx and Rx patch cords to active equipment. This unit allows the user to toggle between the “A” and “B” sources to ensure that everything is properly connected.

FIS VISUAL FAULT LOCATOR


The FIS Visual Fault Locator is an essential tool for troubleshooting a fiber optic system. A 1mW packaged laser sends a 650nm visible red light down the length of the fiber. The escaping light allows easy identification of breaks or severe macro bends. Internal optics are used to optimize the unit’s performance for either singlemode or multimode applications. Fiber end identification and continuity testing for long distances are also natural applications.
Each Unit Includes: Manual, (1) 9v Batteries, and Carry Case.

FIS CONTINUITY TESTER


A Continuity Tester enables you to easily verify light throughput as the LED transmits red light down the fiber, providing visual identification at the fiber’s far end. Operates with two “AA” size batteries (provided).
Recommended for Multimode Use Only. Each Unit Includes: Tester and (2) AA Batteries.


Fault Locators are a special class of light sources that emit a high intensity visible Red Laser into a patch cable or cable. This light can be used to both check the continuity of a fiber and identify the fiber’s far end, or it can be used to visually identify the location of a fiber break. Most Fault Locators come optimized for singlemode fiber use; however they work equally as well with multimode fiber.
