Pigtails & Snap Packs
Pigtails and ‘Snap Packs’ have a factory terminated connector installed on one side of the cable and an un-terminated end on the other side. Fiber optic pigtails are often used in high fiber count splicing applications, where the un-terminated end is spliced to an incoming fiber trunk cable. Pigtails are available in a variety of fiber types, connector types, lengths and fiber counts. ‘Snap Packs’ are fiber pigtails that have been pre-installed into a bulkhead adapter plate. The adapter plates and their bundled fiber pigtails provide a superior cable management and installation solution. FIS adapter plates are designed to fit within an ‘LGX’ compatible footprint.
