FC Epoxy Connectors

FC connectors are specifically designed for telecommunication applications and provide non-optical disconnect performance.  They are designed with a threaded coupling for durable connections.  The ferrule is PC finished to a pre-radius which ensures low back reflection.  All FIS FC connectors use 2mm narrow key.

FC Splice On Connectors

FC Splice On Connectors use a fusion splicer to terminate optical fibers.  The FC Splice On Connector significantly reduces the time that it takes to install a connector compared to epoxy and polish style connectors.  The FIS FC Cheetah and ARMORdillo Splice On Connectors are a factory polished and terminated pigtail that are simple to prepare, splice and install.  The splice protection sleeve is encapsulated and protected by the strain relief boot which eliminates the need for fusion splice trays, chips and extra space in network racks.  These SOCs meet or exceed industry standards for loss and back reflection.

FC Quick Termination Connectors

FC Quick Termination Connectors have a factory pre-polished ferrule that meets or exceeds industry standards for loss and back reflection.  These FC quick term connectors save installers significant time in the field compared to epoxy style connectors that are labor intensive and require a certain amount of skill to install.  These FC connectors are a good solution for LANs, testing, restoration and lab use.

FC Terminator / Black Hole Connectors

FC Terminator or Blackhole Connectors are designed to be installed in unused ports in network rack and wall mounts to reduce harmful back reflection in fiber optic systems.  The FC terminator connector is environmentally sealed for protection.  They are available in APC and UPC polishes.
