Fiber Instrument Sales Inc. (FIS) and Novate Systems have partnered to provide the fastest and most efficient way to provide fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) connectivity. By combining Novate Systems’ EZFi™ and EZNap™ solutions with FIS’ suite of passive FTTH products, this partnership reduces installation time, increases reliability, and simplifies inventory management.

EZFi™: The fastest way to get homes connected.

The EZFi™ solution offers an all-in-one, easy payoff, prepackaged fiber installation kit that eliminates common drop cable payoff issues while providing field installers with everything they need in a single box.

Each kit includes:

• Pre-connectorized drop cable
• Network Interface Device (NID) box
• House cable
• Wall plate
• Patch cable for indoor connections

Kits can be customized for different applications, making them adaptable to various installation needs. Additionally, end-to-end testing of the solution at the factory ensures reliability in the field.

EZNap™: Fast and Efficient Home-Passing Solution

The EZNap™ solution applies the same convenient packaging to Multiport Service Terminals (MSTs), streamlining the process of getting homes "passed" with fiber. By integrating Novate Systems’ OmniPON® MSTs with FIS drop cables, the single-box kit ensures kink-free and tangle-free cable payoff, whether burying the cable or pulling it through conduit or lashing it aerially.

Each EZNap™ kit includes:

• Multiport Service Terminal (MST)
• Mounting bracket
• Pre-connected drop cable at custom-specified lengths

High-Quality, U.S.-Manufactured Components

FIS manufactures and pre-installs connectors onto drop cables, house cables, patch cables, and MSTs using standard or hardened fiber optic connectors. Additionally:

• NID boxes and wall plates are produced at FIS' injection molding facility and meet BABA compliance standards for government-funded projects.

• Kits are assembled using Novate Systems' patent-pending engineered solution, making inventory management, deployment, and installation easier.

Simplifying Installation with a One-Box, One-Technician Approach

Novate Systems has designed a one-SKU, one-box solution tailored for single-technician installations, reducing overall installation costs. The custom packaging is available in two configurations:

1. EZFi™: A drop cable installation kit containing a custom-length drop cable, NID box, wall plate, and house cables.

2. EZNap™: A kit that includes a Multi-Service Terminal (MST) with the required drop port count, optional splitters, and a fiber tail for splice enclosure connections.

Both solutions are available with individual component test results or optional full-system component testing, ensuring quality and further reducing installation time.
