The Multilink Starfighter 3030-SSTP Optical Fiber Splice Tray is designed to safely route and store optical fiber and associated splices. The tray is equipped with a full set of organizers to support single and mass fusion splicing and is fully compliant to industry specification Telecordia GR-769.
The 3030 splice tray is designed to be installed into the Multilink Starfighter 3000F and 4000-D Optical Fiber Splice Closures as well as selected Fiber Rack Mounted FDUs. The tray is one of a family of units that support fiber splicing.
The tray is designed to accommodate ribbon, transition tubes or jacketed fibers. Entrances for fiber bundles are located on both ends to accommodate both butt and inline applications. The tray has a clear cover for protection and ease in locating or inspecting fibers and is hinged to access trays and splices stored below. The tray can also be secured using the tray stacker provided with select Multilink enclosures.
