FIS manufactures fiber optic test equipment in the USA and has capability of making modifications to fit your specific applications.

For over 30 years FIS has provided the communication fiber optic industry with power meters, light sources, visual fault locators and Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs). Our handheld testers can be privately labeled for reselling into specialty markets. Retrofitting test equipment with unique connector styles can make your fiber testing more efficient.

OTDRs are built at FIS including Firecat and popular full featured Thunderbolt with built-in Gigabit Analyzer and Length Range Finder. The versatile OTDRs provide real-time testing to identify faults in a fiber network within a couple of linear feet or meters. Thunderbolt has pass/fail reporting software for customer close out packages.

Custom designs such as the FIS duplex visual fault locator offer field technicians with the ability to quickly verify polarity on duplex LC or MMC style connectors.
