Splice Trays

The FIS aluminum splice trays are compact, lightweight, and available with a variety of splice holding chips and cover options. All trays are pre-configured for standard heat shrink fusion splices unless otherwise stated. Any stocked splice holder chip can be pre-loaded into this splice tray. See splice holding chip options below. Each splice tray features a mounting hole to fasten the tray down using a mounting stud and nut. Self adhesive Velcro dots are included with F1-SPL12, F1-SPL24 and F1-6707 to secure the tray in place.

The FIS Splice Tray is injection molded using UL94 fire retardant material. The tray is designed to fit in most splice closures and can accommodate 12 fusion, mechanical, or bare fiber splices. Any stocked splice holder chip can be pre-loaded into this splice tray. See splice holding chip options below. Features include: Fiber routing molded into the tray, fiber tie down holes, snap or slide together construction, designation label, self adhesive Velcro dots to secure the tray in place, and nylon cable tie wraps.

Starfighter Splice Trays are designed for use with the Multilink Starfighter series of closures. Each splice tray can accommodate single fusion, bare fusion and ribbon fusion protection sleeves as well as mechanical splices. Starfighter splice trays are durable to protect and hold your splice with confidence.

The FIS splice support bridge is available in two basic designs. The 4 way splice bridge will accept 4 fusion or mechanical splices. It is compatible with the FIS 4 Port Wall Mount (P/N F1-WM4PW and F1-WM4S). The 24 way splice bridge will accept up to 12 mechanical or 24 fusion splices. It is supplied with a protective lid that includes a designation label. Both splice bridges have adhesive backings.

FIS offers several styles of splice holding chips to secure splice sleeves. For chips with non-adhesive backing, use double sided tape or epoxy to adhere to mounting surfaces. Upon request FIS will install any stock splice chip in your FIS splice tray.
