The Splice Trailer protects the splicing operation from weather and debris, while providing the technician with convenience and comfort in the field. The trailer features a 6’6” interior height with insulated walls and ceilings. The entrance door is located at the rear of the trailer to provide maximum workspace in the interior. Two fiber optic cable doors (one in the back and one on the curb side) enable technicians to work on outdoor lines in an inside environment. Features: New linoleum floor, rear step, heat and air conditioning units, 25 aluminum cabinets to store items, electric brakes, fluorescent lighting, a generator with an inside fuel gauge for added convenience and a full length roadside countertop. The U-TECK Fiber Optic Splicing Workstation was designed for, and dedicated to, today’s professional fiber splicer.

The NEW Workstation offers twice the workspace area compared to standard-use tables, yet is lightweight and easy to store! The table top even has a molded recess area to keep items from falling. Also molded into the outside frame of the table are several recess areas that can be used to securely hold alcohol, wipes, and fiber-splicing sleeves.

Splice tents for outside field applications are made of tough urethane coated polyester fabric. FIS offers the standard splice tents and the new Space Saver splice tents. Space Savers have approximately 25% shorter folded length for storage and can be set over a cable or pipe.

With its inductive signal application, the Tracker II can be used on active or dead systems. Now you can trace the path and determine the depth of wires and metallic pipes without having to deactivate the systems. High frequency transmitter provides range up to 4000 feet (1219 m) and depths to 7 ft. (2 m). The transmitter offers three methods of connection: direct, inductive coupler, or inductive antenna.

Marker-Mate™ Electronic Marker Locator is designed to locate all brands of buried, electronic markers, including the patented Tempo Omni Marker™, and Uni Marker™.
