FIS Bobtail Connectors provide a pre-polished, quick termination style connector for an industry leading value. Bobtail’s are ideal for many applications including, but not limited to, local area networks, restoration work, testing applications, and laboratory settings. The FIS assembly tool is now designed with a precision machined sled to aid in the insertion of the prepared field fiber. This feature virtually eliminates fiber stub breakage and minimizes insertion loss. Includes adapter plates for SC, LC, and ST Bobtail Connectors.
This quick set cyanocrylate adhesive is provided for terminating FIS Bobtail connectors. An accelerant provides even faster cure time, less than 60 seconds.

FIS FTX FIELD TERMINATION KIT (No Fiber Polishing Required)
The FIS FTX Termination Kit includes all the supplies you need to successfully install the FTX series quick term connectors in a convenient carrying case. The FTX connectors are a good solution for field termination of singlemode fibers in Fiber to the “X” applications such as Fiber to the Home, Fiber to the Antenna, Fiber to the MDU, and Fiber to the Business. The FTX connector is available in SC/APC and SC/UPC versions for both 3mm jacketed fiber as well as 900um tight buffered fiber.

The new quick termination fiber optic SC/UPC and SC/APC connector is available in two variations to install onto Singlemode 3mm jacketed or 900um fiber. Intended for Fiber to “x” applications such as home, antenna or Multi-Dwelling residences, it meets Telcordia GR-326 Core test standards. As with all field terminated mechanical connectors utilizing a precision cleaver is necessary for best performance.
